  We finally went to Upstate for a birthday dinner this weekend and were so pleased with our experience here.
  
  From the food, to the atmosphere, to the service, Upstate fell nothing short of wonderful.
  
  Come early - as in right when it opens early - as in the restaurant gets completely full within a half hour of opening at 5p.
  
  For the appetizer, the crab cakes were flavorful and nicely seared. For the entrees, I had the fettuccine with clams which was also delicious. Whole sweet clams with generous amounts of garlic and butter. My boyfriend opted for the fish of the day - cod with sautéed vegetables and sriracha butter. He enjoyed his just the same. The portions are pretty fair, but you're not likely taking home a doggy bag. Bonus points for complimentary whiskey pound cake at the end, too!
